The Bible Society organized a special private dinner that was held on June 20^th, 2006 at La Cigale restaurant, Zalka.

About sixty persons were present – businesspeople, professionals, clergy and politicians – including Bible Society Board members and some staff members. The evening commenced with a word of welcome from the Chairman, Mr. Amine Khoury, who warmly welcomed all the guests, particularly those who were attending this special dinner for the first time. This was followed by a prayer led by Bishop Nabil Shukrallah El-Hajj, Maronite Bishop of Tyre.

During the presentation, a copy of the Scriptures was given to MP Dr. Pierre Daccache. This will be the start of a nation-wide campaign of offering God’s Word to Lebanese politicians
